Welcome to Friends of Northside

Friends Of Northside Parents Group

Friends of Northside (FON) is the parent organization at Northside Intermediate School whose goal is to provide financial support for a variety of educational and social opportunities for all students at Northside.  FON purchases materials and equipment for Northside, and helps pay for guest speakers, grade level field trips, and assemblies. All families of NIS students are eligible and encouraged to become members of this group. 

We meet monthly in the LMC. We welcome your presence and input at any and all meetings. If you are unable to attend regularly, but you are interested in helping with events, please let us know! We could not accomplish the things we do without the assistance of the parent volunteers who offer their time and talent for one event or many each year.

In order to have funds available to support the school, we have a variety of fundraisers throughout the year, including our main fundraiser which will kick off the beginning of September, Scoopie Nights at Culver’s, and other periodic fundraisers. We also run the Scholastic Book Fairs in the autumn and spring for which we earn Scholastic dollars to spend on items for our school.
