School District of Milton

Device Insurance

The School District of Milton offers insurance for students who are issued a district issued device. Insurance periods are one year in length and run from 9/1 of the current year to 8/31 of the following year. Insurance must be purchased at or before the start of the school year. Families joining the district mid-year are able to purchase insurance prior to being issued a device. To view the insurance declaration please click here.

Insurance premiums and deductibles:
  • MacBook Air Insurance cost: $80
  • First & second incident: $45 deductible
  • Third incident: 50% cost of repair
  • Fourth incident: 100% cost of repair
  • MacBook Air M1, full replacement cost $779.00
      • Chromebook Insurance cost: $20
      • First & second incident: $0 deductible
      • Third incident: 50% cost of repair
      • Fourth incident: 100% cost of repair
      • Dell 3120 Chromebook, full replacement cost $276
      • iPad take-home (4th-8th grade)
      • Insurance cost:  $40
      • First & second incident:  $20 deductible
      • Third incident:  50% cost of repair
      • Fourth incident:  100% cost of repair
      •  iPad 8th generation, full replacement cost $300.00
